There are many times when virtually everything that exists around comes as a huge figurative expression. The same number that you see over and over again, the same words that you see on the billboard on the bus, All living things and non-living things in the world, even abandoned old buildings, become unique metaphors. Cicada shells, blind movements of ants, etc. after churning, I prefer to use indirect and figurative expressions rather than direct expressions in pictures. In my painting, if I expressed invisible inner wounds with visualized tattoos, I expressed differentiated egos with dolls. I am represented by three beings each. I couldn't stand up on my own, so I put braces on my legs In the shape of the contradictory self of this era, with oxygenators and visual correction and blind information injected.. The other egos who are sitting expressionless with a nonchalant face but hurt and crying are always speaking at the closest, making new expressions and expressions in the shape of a doll. Here, the dolls are another inner symbol to protect.

Sung Byunghee explores the intersection between personal anxiety and wounds and the tensions that arise within contemporary society. For Sung, art is not a form of consolation that conceals or softens pain, but a sharp tool that compels both the artist and the viewer to confront it directly. Rather than relying on literal representation, she constructs her paintings through symbols and metaphors, bringing together existential anxiety, the uncertainty of life, and the instability generated by social conditions. Beginning with deeply personal emotions and experiences, Sung expands them into a broader visual language that invites viewers to face their own wounds and, through that encounter, find the possibility of moving forward.
