Pierre Paulin’s “Alpha” furniture series was first designed in 1970 for President Georges Pompidou’s private apartment in the Élysée Palace in Paris. Earning its name from the original manufacturing company that produced the model, the present lot represents a turning point in French design aesthetics. New technological innovations, including polyurethane foam, allowed Paulin to create forms which were more organic and sculpted. His resulting furniture invited relaxation. The present lot’s cream-colored curves and contours with soft fabric upholstery lure individuals to peacefully recline. Together, the sofa and armchairs constitute a complete living room suite. Gus Monday (b. 2000) studied a Foundation in Art & Design at the City & Guilds of London Art School in 2019, and currently studying painting for a master’s degree at Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. He grew up within a Southern African context and he thinks that to large an extent it shaped the way that he is socially and culturally aware, especially moving between a developing nation and this 1st world country. His works are representations of spaces utilising coded narratives and symbols, some observational whilst others autobiographical. He is working with beyond the realm of the personal, toward spaces with more social significance.
In addition, several group exhibitions are planned for 2024 in several countries, including Korea, the UK and Spain.

Using the traditional techniques of Buddhist art, he has been working to address various contemporary narratives by utilizing his own ‘minority’. His works combine narratives from his personal experience with religious and queer narratives, and through the various contradictory questions that emerge from this process, he asks essential questions about the dichotomous concepts of minority and majority that constitute contemporary society.

Eunju Jeong's paintings are similar in appearance to chromatic abstraction through the paint smears, brushstrokes, layers of color, the subtle spaces and crevices they create, the trajectory of the paint as it flows toward the floor by the law of gravity, and the way it smears and solidifies. It also allows us to see the myriad traces of the painting's progress and the passage of time that reveals all of its processes. These dense, wet paintings, with their cool, bold brushstrokes, are at once highly performative and a longing for a representation of a world that cannot be represented, a world that lies outside of visibility but is clearly felt and sensed. At the same time, they are paintings with impressions and tones that evoke a very specific empathy with the beautiful nature.
The various brushstrokes and the colors of the paint leave various expressions, psychological and emotional, such as a nostalgic reminder of something beyond the visible realm, a work of art that makes us feel something that cannot be verbalized or codified, and certainly cannot be reproduced, but it is also a work of imagining, thinking, and dreaming through material and physical properties. The screen unfolds an infinite space while absorbing the viewer's gaze and mind. It is a gap that allows the intervention of the viewer's gaze, heart and mind, and a paradoxical act that relentlessly erases the limitations of the screen's flatness.

"Letters to Layer-Swan" is a piece from the artist's "Letters to Layer" series, demonstrating artist's philosophy of the painting. She collects images from her life and expresses them with colors and textures, like weaving with thread, using the features of painting that make it less difficult to disclose the process of building up layers than other mediums. She uses techniques like spraying, dripping, and applying paints thickly to build up layers in patterns like grids, checks, and waves. This creates a context where the layers interact, resulting in a remarkable pictorial space. With this layering, each layer has a supportive relationship with the other rather than a clear separation. The artist hopes viewers to find out the layers from the cues in the painting and experience a sense of time and depth while imagining a non-visible point.

In November 2021, Hanna Kim met the audience in a new way at The Dustgrapher, emoment’s pop-up, held at Daelim Mansion in Busan, Korea. Putting down the burden of huge projects, she recorded Hanna and Rabbit's daily routine with drawings.
The dustgraphers record and store their dense daily life, which is rarely noticeable like dust. 
The life journey of Hanna and Rabbit is getting changed. From a cold reality, a sharp gaze, and lonely times to an ordinary but fun day, a warm gaze, and a pleasant time, the audience keeps pace with Hanna and Rabbit.

emoment (emoment.kr) is an on/offline art distribution brand launched in 2021 by LIUSHEN, an art content planning company based in Seoul and Bangkok. 
With the aim of ‘The Beginning of Easy Collection’, emoment provides a convenient purchasing experience where you can enjoy content in the artist’s studio and purchase system all at once. In addition, emoment offline pop-up shows make offline sale promotion connect online distribution smoothly.
By 2022, emoment had updated about 10 contents and held about 20 pop-up shows, achieving high sales performance. In February 2023 emoment opened an offline gallery space in Bangkok, Thailand. emoment is striving to continuously open pop-up and exhibitions, promote sales of works, introduce artists, and promote cultural exchange between Korea and Thailand.

Space776 exhibits early to mid-career artists who work in a variety of mediums ranging from live multimedia performance art to traditional oil painting. The gallery accommodates artists from around the globe, taking their works to local and international art fairs such as Volta New York, Volta Basel, Art Miami, Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, and Art Busan. 
Space776 was founded in Bushwick, Brooklyn in 2013. In 2020, the gallery relocated to its current residence at 37-39 Clinton Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Space776 also opened a location in Seoul, South Korea in 2020 in accordance with the gallery’s mission to promote the international exchange between local New York artists and the Korean artistic sphere.

The artist discusses the modern people constantly trying to find their destined partner through the artwork. The painting resembles medieval cathedral stained glass and relates to the artist’s concept of humanitarian love. The artist discusses several types of love and offers a message of solace to the audience. He depicts anticipation and curiosity about the upcoming relationship through the image of a person leaving with a mismatched chair.

Pierre Paulin, born in 1927, originally trained as a sculptor but shifted to design after injuring his right arm. His iconic designs for Artifort in the 1960s, including the Mushroom Chair and Ribbon Chair, showcased his innovative use of materials and clean lines. Influenced by German design principles and early modernists like George Nelson and Charles Eames, Paulin also emphasized the social aspect of modern design. His work adorned prestigious spaces like the Élysée Palace and the Louvre Museum's Denon Wing. Posthumously awarded the title of "Royal Designer for Industry," his designs remain timeless icons of 20th-century design, epitomizing the essence of Brutalism.

Channing Hansen was born in 1972 in Los Angeles, USA. His knitted works tread the line between painting and sculpture with their web-like construction occasionally revealing the stretcher behind.
Their relationship to craft may initially seem to be at odds with the scientific concepts informing the algorithm. However, bringing these two disciplines into dialogue allows Hansen to explore the tension between chaos and order, as the artist’s hand introduces human variability within
an otherwise programmatic composition. This is evident in the forms his textiles evoke, which might resemble tendrils of DNA, crystalline structures, or biomorphic shapes.

Michal Korman (b. 1987) began his art education at the age of five when the Slovak academic painter Jozef Jelenak (working in the tradition of expressionism) admitted him to his courses for children at the school of art in Korman’s hometown, Partizanske. These classes formed his artistic
foundations over a period of three years.In 2005, Korman manifested his specific style: a combination of graphic like oil painting branded with his signature as a logotype.

Anya Paintsil (b. 1993) is a London-based textile artist of Welsh and Ghanaian descent.
Combining traditional hand rug making techniques with Afro hair styling methods, Paintsil’s practice is largely autobiographical. She takes inspiration from her childhood, family stories, and Welsh and Ghanaian mythologies, while exploring identity and gendered labour. Paintsil seeks to promote artistic practices historically devalued due to their associations with femininity and other marginalised groups.

For Moonhee Cho, the series of photographic works are both a process and a result of pusing ‘resemble’. ‘Resemble’ creates a gap skimmed from reality, making one revisit the place glimpsed at first sight. The landscape that was once passed by reveals a dramatic presence in a form that was never reached, even in places that were numb, different from the afterimage left in the mind. Following the image in the landscape, she visualizes the conflict stemming from ‘resemblance’.

Eunju Jeong is an abstract artist currently living and working in Daegu, South Korea. After graduating from a Masters degree in Western Painting at Kyemyung University, Eunju Jeong studied abroad at HBK Braunschweig in Germany, where she reached a deeper dimension in her color surface abstract paintings through a calm and stable exploration of the feelings and sensations of color. The artist focuses on expressing her inner flow through various colors that surface the canvas, and has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in various cities at home and abroad (need the names), working both on various flat works and semi-cubic sculptures. For over 30 years, Jeong's work has gone through a process of transformation, from painting to semi-cubic abstraction on acrylic and wooden boards, to a return to painting on canvas. To this day, she continues to work on imagining, contemplating, and dreaming through material and physical attributes, while evoking the emotional and tangible, as well as sensing what cannot be verbalized, codified, or most importantly, reproduced. Jina Jung creates paintings and new media art that alter the invisible properties of changing water, wind and other elements in nature. She completed master's degree in the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) MPS at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. The artist takes photos of nature or collects such images from the web and stores of VR and 3D space software, then renders them into unrealistic sceneries in VR or video works. She then reassembles the flattened objects, or the visible and penetrable scenes seen in the virtual space on a canvas as a painting. Through the process of transforming and capturing a space that actually exists into an unfamiliar image, she provides an opportunity to consider the logic of subverted nature.

HaSeulLin Jeong has an interest in paintings that are located between images and materials and can simultaneously deduce the axis of time. She is a graduate of the Korea National University of Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where she studied Printmaking and Painting. Later, the artist deliberately leaves traces of the previous layer or creates a support structure that will be influenced by the prior and following layers of paint, resulting in visual interpretation. HaSeulLin Jeong's artwork provides the viewer with the experience of pondering for a prolonged period of time, imagining the source of the material, and sensing that the senses are real through an individual sense that is intuitive and universally shared. 

WAL, Wal Chirachaisakul (born in 1991) is an artist of oil paintings, printmaker, and a trailblazer in the art scene for a decade. Emerging from a family deeply passionate about the business of playthings, WAL found unwavering support and genuine enthusiasm for art within his family, which has been a constant pillar throughout his artistic journey. Starting his artistic exploration at College of Fine Arts , WAL later pursued advanced studies in the Department of Painting, specializing in printmaking, at Silpakorn University. During his academic pursuits, WA;L’s artistic prowess shone through, earning him prestigious awards, notably clinching the championship in Mezzotint art competitions both domestically and internationally, spanning Japan, Russia, Canada, and more.

Kim Hanna is a painter who has lived and worked in Busan since she graduated from the College of Fine Arts at Busan ​​National University. She has depicted the life and relationship between two characters, Hanna and Rabbit which the artist's internal world is reflected by.  

She has had many solo exhibitions, including Alternative Space Loop in 2006, Arario Gallery Beijing in 2007, Arario Gallery Seoul in 2008 and 2013, and Gana Art Gallery Busan in 2017. She also completed her solo exhibitions at Seoul Lotte Hotel & Resort Gallery in 2018, and Ecru in Busan in 2021. She had her first solo exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand in 2023.

She has tried to work with her wide span of creativity. She collaborated with Uniqlo, Shinsegae Department Store, etc. She also created the album cover work for Monthly Yoon Jong Shin. In 2022, she published a Poem book with drawings with the poet Park June. 

Alex Jo’s work, which is bright, bold, and colorful, is in stark contrast to his actual appearance, who enjoys wearing achromatic colors and has an introverted personality. The reason why he prefers bright and colorful colors in his works is that he can express himself in a different way that he cannot show outwardly. While using pop-up colors as point colors, the greatest charm of his work is the comfort that stands out in harmony. The balance of pop-up colors presents the coexistence of comfort and splendor. Alex Jo composed and developed this color coordination based on organic and vintage colors which is inspired from the old pillars of traditional Korean houses and naturally dyed Hanbok (Korean traditional wear) garments with fruits and plants. In his work, what stands out along with the strong colors are the straight lines that give off a masculine feeling. It is also a beautiful characteristic of Alex Jo’s work that he has completed the subtle emotional delivery that harmoniously completes a rather cold line and a warm story by using the story of the artist's own warm sensibility as a message while using masculine shapes as the main motif. 

Blake Daniels, born in 1990 in Cincinnati, Ohio, is an artist known for his unique blend of figurative and abstract art. Working between New York and Johannesburg, Daniels has a rich artistic heritage and developed his passion for art early on. With a Master of Fine Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he received the Edward L. Ryerson Fellowship, Daniels employs various techniques, including traditional oil painting and mixed media. His works explore themes of intimacy and human connection, portraying intricate interpersonal relationships set against mystical backdrops, creating an intimate, enchanting atmosphere for the audience.

Sakhai received her Bachelor’s in Art History and Fine Arts from Hofstra University, and currently serves on the advisory board for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She received her Masters in Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University and has studied internationally including d’Arts Plastique I Disseny (LLOTJA) in Spain. Additionally, she has taught art at the University of California, Berkeley. Her paintings are exhibited in galleries around the world including Tokyo, Ibiza, Miami, Carmel-By-The-Sea, Berkshires, Dallas, and New York City. Her art remains in both private and public collections including the Montefiore Einstein Medical Center, The Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, and Kamakura Park in Japan. Sakhai's work has been exhibited in Universities including Stanford, Michigan Medicine, The Academy of Art, Hofstra, and Mary Hardin-Baylor. She recently published her first book titled ‘Awakening’, a compilation of 200 of her paintings.

Gon Jeong depicts diverse forms of love through his paintings He is currently working in Seoul and gets inspiration from people's conversations and emotions. It is believed that it is completed through the process of being comforted and empathized in everyday human relationships, and the artist intends to convey a message of consolation to visitors through love-themed works.
