Turakella Gyindo (Tura) is a Tanzanian multidisciplinary artist and curator based in Dar es Salaam, whose practice spans painting, installation, and live performance. Inspired by human nature and its adaptation to a rapidly changing world, she explores themes of intersectionality, identity, and belonging — envisioning a sense of self that extends beyond rigid social categories. Since completing the Curatorial Practice and Art Management programme at Nafasi Art Space Academy in 2021, she has curated and presented work across exhibitions and residencies in Tanzania, including at Alliance Française and the Goethe-Institut Dar es Salaam.
