Born and raised in Jeju Island, the artist reconstructs the tourism industry, the non-verbalized romanticism it incites, and the narratives hidden beneath the surface with a cynical perspective. She reveals the logic of capital operating beyond idealized landscapes and addresses environmental and social issues through her dense paintings. By presenting today's scenery as multi-layered images, the artist exposes the anxiety at the point where reality and romanticism intersect and collide.
