Reinterpreting the classical genre of still life through the concept of the Cabinet of Curiosities, the work constructs a world of illusionistic representation. The canvas functions not simply as a space for depicting objects, but as a space of collection where the artist’s thoughts, tastes, and imagination accumulate. Objects within the image are arranged and displayed like collected items, each still life existing as a representation with its own narrative and meaning. Familiar objects are dismantled and recombined, transformed into strange or allegorical forms, and appear in the image as if they were beings generated from imagination rather than representations of reality. In this work, still life is not merely an object but a representation shaped through observation, contemplation, and imagination, and the image is constructed like an imaginary collection space.
