Gyubin Seong draws her paintings based on the fun, interest, and curiosity about the neighbors she meets in her daily life and their surroundings. She adds her imagination to memorable events to reconstruct images. She creates stories that include not only what can be observed visually but also clues from other senses like hearing and smell. She looks at each object in detail and aims to observe and depict them carefully, so that the touch and memories of the objects can be conveyed to the viewer. However, she tries to deliver the form, atmosphere, and texture she felt by fumbling through her memories, even if the perspective collapses and the shape distorts, rather than using a stereotyped description method.
