EunShil Hwang’s paintings begin with the metaphor of the “window.” Landscapes glimpsed through glass while walking down the street, screenshots saved on a phone, fragments of patterns cropped from live fashion shows—images collected from everyday life are layered one upon another across the canvas. The artist describes her daily practice as “wandering through life as if taking screenshots, and taking screenshots as if wandering.” Deliberately avoiding digital editing tools such as Photoshop, she determines every composition intuitively and spontaneously in front of the canvas itself.

CDA is a gallery stands for ‘Creative’, ‘Discovery’, and ‘Appreciation’. The gallery mainly presents creative activities in various fields of contemporary visual arts in the form of exhibitions. CDA exhibition mainly focuses on paintings but subjects to all kinds of genres and mediums such as sculpture, prints, photography, animation, and video. The form of the exhibitions is also balanced, with a mix of solo and group exhibitions, as well as art fairs and collaborative projects.
