Wonkyo Choi explores the intersections where opposing or contrasting realms meet, overlap, or collide. Wonkyo’s work focuses on dissolving and reconstructing these boundaries, challenging the fixed notions of separation. Recently, the artist’s practice has turned toward the nature of images produced within digital environments. Also, the artist investigates their depth, expansiveness, weight, and spatial qualities—elements often overlooked in purely data-driven forms. By transforming these immaterial, digitally-generated images into physical and tactile presences, Wonkyo attempts to give form to the intangible, bridging the virtual and the real. the artist’s work not only questions the ontology of contemporary digital imagery but also proposes new ways of sensing and experiencing the image beyond the screen.


Volo observes the efforts of everyone living through anxiety and translates it into art by depicting their attempts at self-reliance. She represents the feeling of anxiety through abstract images focused on texture, then reinterprets these images by freely cutting and pasting them to attempt "finding balance." The use of techniques such as cutting, pasting, and stacking, which are borrowed from play, reflects her approach to anxiety: not being consumed by its negative aspects, but rather viewing it positively and utilizing it playfully. The paintings and sculptures, even if the pieces do not fit perfectly, form towers or arches that symbolize various forms of self-reliance, while also representing the multiple relationships that involve interacting and creating solidarity with others. Her major exhibitions include <CRAFT+MAN=SHIP> (2024, Seoulbattleship), <Which Working, Nowadays>(2023, CDA), and <Finding Language> (2022, Gallery Bincan). She participated in the short residency program "Asura Hwalhwalta" organized by the Youth Village in Haenam, Jeollanam-do, and her recent work focuses on the paradoxical imagery of beauty and pain coexisting, as well as the cognitive processes of human beings.

The picture frame's glass, which ought to be transparent, and its curved frame—the unsettling undulation of that unfamiliar surface—create a 'gap' in the air. As a result, a 'beside' space is immediately formed between the artwork and me. An opportunity arises for us to be fitted together, much like puzzle pieces. Instinctively, we send a fragment of our 'raw' sensibility through that gap, and are quickly seized by the tickle and urgency of wanting to touch and hold the work, prompting us to boldly step closer and move our bodies around in all directions to appreciate it.

The works of Wonjoo Park placed before us always have the appearance of being tenderly caressed. To achieve this, the artist bends glass at high temperatures in her studio, breaks wooden pieces into fragments only to reassemble them, and handles cast iron. She wishes to downplay and minimize the mention of the hardship involved in the process of wearing down these raw, rough edges. This particular preference, in return, grants Park Wonjoo's work its unique expression. The artwork, solely in order to approach us softly, appears as if much has already been resolved and reconciled, or it embodies the will for such resolution.

Expanding the language of craft to an architectural scale, Lee Myungjin conceives and fabricates ceramic modules engineered with upper–lower joints. Where modules meet, lines and planes intersect; steps between verticals and horizontals accumulate into an open-ended system, and in the cadence of repetition an assured sense of architectural proportion emerges.
Built coil by coil, the clay locks together with the precision of masonry, while the finished surfaces and tones recall concrete, brick and other building materials. This approach grows from the artist’s resolve to push past studio constraints and actively recalibrate form and scale—a throughline made clear in the series Stacked Room and Column.

Lee’s works fuse craft exactitude with an architectural syntax: the poise of line and plane, the discipline of proportion and interval, producing objects where utility and figuration coexist. The module, as a primary unit, operates like the language of an architectural drawing—densely plotted lines and symbols. Yet Lee moves beyond that regimented order, continually experimenting with and substantiating new sculptural silhouettes through varied permutations of the module.


based in Chiba. The theme of the complex emotions and instability of young people is expressed through their hesitation and frustration as their humanity. Kimura believes that emotions, which can be seen as negative, sometimes cause people pain, but at the same time give them a sense of being alive. LOST BOYS, one of his best-known works, depicts just such moments.

Born in 1994, Seung-gyun Heo, known as CCREATT, studied industrial design at university. During and after completing his studies, the artist developed a keen interest in 3D modeling. He used his creativity and imagination to transform virtual objects into digital art, videos, and figures.CCREATT’s works portray the search for self-identity, lost in a fast-changing world dominated by commercialism. The artist creates 3D models of influential figures, such as artists or celebrities, by capturing their distinct features and characteristics. These figures are then transformed into memes with added symbolism within the digital space.The characters' emotionless facial expressions enhance the implicit meanings and emotions of each figure. Additionally, the small props and items placed beside each character not only symbolize them but are also closely linked to modern society.

The artist portrays how commercialization is deeply ingrained in our society. Through his art, he reveals what may be concealed or overlooked and encourages viewers to reflect on their own relationship with these issues. While his primary focus is on creating 3D figures and reproducing famous paintings, the artist is always exploring new styles and mediums, constantly expanding the boundaries of his art.

Born in Hanover in 1964, Baumgarten studied at the “Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe” and the “École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris”, later receiving his MFA from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1999. Since 2008, he has served as professor in the Department of Painting at Hongik University, establishing his practice in Seoul. His sustained artistic concern has been the hybridity of architecture and lived experience within urban neighborhoods. When he first visited Seoul in 1993, the dense vistas of red-brick and concrete houses climbing the hillsides struck him as at once unfamiliar and compelling. He has since focused on the hybrid landscapes born of the encounter between Western architectural order and Korean sensibilities of habitation, articulating them through his visual idiom.

LEE Jeongbae (b. 1974) creates works that mirror the image of nature among the city's landscapes, which are privatized and tailored to conform to human needs and desires. Prior to this, the artist experimented with various mediums, including painting, photography, video, and installation. In 2016, LEE began to take an interest in representing deteriorating landscapes that had gradually lost all original meaning through the encroachment of capitalism. These segmented images, which become objets, each act as a landscape that portrays various scenes from nature. LEE Jeongbae's works, which examine the daily life of the city, capture fragments of mountains, rivers, and the sky that peer through the cityscape. These images are separated by geometric forms and expressed through the use of artificial materials such as FRP and aluminum panels. Nature, which has been torn apart by capitalism and materiality, is recomposed by LEE into atypical forms and painted over with color. Completed through a delicate process of painting the surface of the sculpture hundreds of times, these works represent new abstract landscapes expressed through LEE's perspective.
 
Since LEE Jeongbae's first solo exhibition at Munhwa Ilbo Gallery (Seoul, Korea) in 2005, he has shown at Artside Gallery (Seoul, Korea); Window Gallery at Gallery Hyundai (Seoul, Korea); 16 Bungee at Gallery Hyundai (Seoul, Korea); Seodaemun Prison History Hall (Seoul, Korea); Pibi Gallery (Seoul, Korea); Goodspace Gallery (Seoul, Korea); and the Seoul Metropolitan Government (Seoul, Korea). LEE has also participated in various group exhibitions at the Busan Museum of Art (Busan, Korea); Korean Cultural Center in Brussels (Brussels, Belgium); Buk-Seoul Museum of Art (Seoul, Korea); Seoul Olympic Museum of Art (Seoul, Korea); Arario Gallery (Seoul, Korea); CAN Foundation (Seoul, Korea); Whanki Museum (Seoul, Korea), and more. In 2011, LEE was awarded the "JoongAng Fine Arts Prize," organized by the Seoul Arts Center (Seoul, Korea). His works are included in many significant collections such as MMCA, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Seoul, Korea); Seoul Museum of Art (Seoul, Korea); Arario Museum (Seoul, Korea); Joongang Ilbo (Seoul, Korea); CAN Foundation (Seoul, Korea); Whanki Museum (Seoul, Korea); and ART OMI Collection (New York, USA).

Jonghwan Lee attempts to extract the vitality of painting from the illusion of paintings medium's physical relationship. For this purpose, he frequently combines pictures from his prior works with new elements. Instead of being recognised for what the image itself represents, they are recognised as a material for paintings. Through the interaction between image and medium, vision and reality, the artist evokes the painting with a subjective vital eye. In addition, while he dissects, penetrates, deconstructs, examines the relationship between pictures produced in paintings and mediums, and investigates the 'vitality of painting.' The process begins with the hypothesis and repeats as 'production-observation-confirmation-hypothesize-resetting'. There are no such things as an independent project; rather, they are interconnected, moving forward and continuously reflecting.

Marcel Duchamp made irreverent, wildly inventive art that blazed new trails for the 20th-century avant-garde. He briefly worked in a Cubist mode and helped spur movements including Dada and Conceptualism. Though his practice spanned drawing, painting, and installation, Duchamp is perhaps most famous for his “readymade” sculptures: pieces composed of prefabricated objects such as a urinal, a shovel, or a bicycle wheel affixed to a wooden stool, which the artist situated in the middle of the exhibition space. Duchamp saw the readymade as an opportunity to free art from traditional confines of taste and beauty. He studied at Académie Julian before becoming involved in the avant-garde circles of New York and Paris. Duchamp also played tournament chess and, in the last decades of his life, worked in secret on a final installation, Étant donnés (1946–66). His pieces have sold for up to eight figures on the secondary market and belong in the collections of countless institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Tate, the Staatliches Museum Schwerin, the Guggenheim Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Lee Koz, through her artwork, delivers a deep contemplation on profound themes. The boundaries between memory and dreams, and the translational gaps and accompanying confusion that emerge from these boundaries, are experiences many people encounter but find difficult to articulate clearly. The artist attempts to represent these intricate concepts through her paintings. She explores how techniques evolve between the history of representation and the desire for documentation. Reproduction raises questions about what and how we remember, and these questions play a central role in a artist's creations. Lee Koz communicates his unique perspective on memory, dreams, and the spaces in between through her art. By addressing these topics, she connects with the lives of all, providing an opportunity for deeper thought and self-reflection.

My work begins by extracting formative elements that can be found in natural objects. 
It is to collect the formative beauty and aesthetical beauty of nature and reconstruct the canvas based on it. The images displayed on the screen are mainly expressed in the form of flowers or plants. For this case, the object shown in the form of a natural object is only an element used for color and formative harmony. Several flowers from a single stem are sometimes embodied as having different colors and shapes and some float the canvas without a starting point. Also, shapes unrelated to natural objects are placed in various places on the canvas and it is because the shapes on the canvas do not follow the biological structure of nature and it means that the images have their own form, not the result of imitation. Each formative element is recognized as a single piece in composing the canvas. A series of processes to approach the formative beauty by refining the shape until it has the desired shape is similar to working with a piece. The individual pieces completed at the same time act as an element again in the larger screen, serving as a small piece’s form. 

The finished pieces take the most harmonious position for the canvas composition. In this way, the process of deleting and inserting shapes until I reach the scene that I feel is the most beautiful can be said to be the process of creating a piece with a greater meaning.

Flowers and plants we encounter in our daily life are kind subjects. Many of them are immobile and stationary in their place, but they appear in various forms that accommodate changes according to the environment. I do not perceive them as fixed or complete images, but accept them as formative elements of points, lines, planes, colors, and shapes.

When I find a subject I want to collect among the forms created by natural objects, I draw on the spot. I extract the components or elements I want to be influenced by or needed for future work and bind them to my notes. At that time, I  do not bring all the forms as they are, but remove the details and collect them in a condensed form.

After that, I continue referring to the drawings in my binding and adapt the artistic senses that come from them, and I try to learn the formative aspects and the colors through this process. While repeating the process of mixing or refining the drawings collected and reinterpreted on the canvas, by accumulating harmony and order of the formative elements, I wanted to discover my own sense of aesthetics. 

Sunhotan is an artist who bases his work on the technique of ‘collage.’ He utilizes various forms of standardized ready-made products produced in modern capitalist society, focusing on how these mass-produced items acquire individual narratives through personal consumption, ultimately forming unique meanings in the process. Furthermore, he interprets the most fundamental human desire as the "desire for existence" and considers "consumption" to be the most rational means of expressing this desire within modern capitalist society. Based on this idea, he explores consumption from an aesthetic-philosophical perspective and reinterprets its meaning through his artwork. Building on these concepts, he continues to complete his works by transforming and reconstructing ready-made and mass-produced objects, utilizing the technique of collage.

JHR’s projects explore the ways in which the problems we face in reality are dealt with in the virtual space. Hyeryun JUNG(b.1977, S.Korea) has been creating material/non-material visual works with aspecial interest in the organic relationship humans develop with their environment. She completed her Ph.D.(2014) in Fine Arts at Pusan National University. Her main solo exhibitions include US2-Migration(Soma museum of art, Seoul, Korea, 2023), Treasure island(Rhee Seund Ja Jinju Art Museum, Jinju, Korea, 2020), Landscape of –1(L'H du Siege Art Center, France, 2019), and Serial Possibility-planet(HIGURE17-15cas, Japan, 2016). She has also participated in numerous projects and group exhibitions at home and abroad such as the inaugural exhibition of the Museum of Contemporary Art Busan(2018), Biennial InterAction NAPOLI(Made in Cloister, Napoli, Italy, 2023) and Kenpoku Art Triennale (Fukuroda Falls, Japan, 2016).
She received the First Soorim Art Award from Soorim Cultural Foundation(2017), was selected as a Young Sculptor of Today by Kim Chong Yung Museum(2012), and joined residency programs at L'H du Siege(Valenciennes, France, 2018) and Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts (Taiwan, 2013).

While painting, LIM Nosik’s (b. 1989) body is embedded in everyday scenes. However, the psychological distance from which he looks at it is either closer or further than ordinary days. The subject of his recent work is a question about how to sense landscapes. It focuses on the individual's response to it as much as on the characteristics of the physical properties of a place. The Workroom (2023) is a series of paintings of the studio desk viewed from different times and directions, almost life-sized. The foggy, blurred screen depicts the appearance of weathered memories over time. It is an attempt to capture the world vibrating in the distance of time and space by visualizing the layer of air placed between the landscape, canvas, and himself.




LIM Nosik was born in Seoul, Korea, in 1989. He received his BFA in Oriental Painting at Hongik University in 2015, and MFA in Fine Arts, School of Visual Arts at Korea National University of Arts in 2017. He has held solo exhibitions at various institutions such as Kumho Museum of Art (Seoul, Korea, 2023), Project Space SARUBIA (Seoul, Korea, 2023), Window Gallery, Incheon Art Platform (Incheon, Korea, 2020), Artspace Boan 2 (Seoul, Korea, 2020) and Hapjungjigu (Seoul, Korea, 2017), as well as group exhibitions held at ARARIOGALLERY SEOUL (Seoul, Korea, 2024), SongEun (Seoul, Korea, 2023), Ilmin Museum of Art (Seoul, Korea, 2023), Art Center White Block (Seoul, Korea, 2022), SFAC Seoul Art Space Geumcheon (Seoul, Korea, 2021), Amado Art Space (Seoul, Korea, 2020), and more. The artist gained attention for being selected in the Kumho Museum of Art and Kumho Young Artist 2022. He was the artist-in-residence at the SeMA Nanji Residency (Seoul, Korea) in 2019, and also was the artist-in-residence at the SFAC Seoul Art Space Geumcheon (Seoul, Korea) in 2021. His works are collected by institutions such as the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art’s Art Bank, Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, Ilmin Museum of Art, and more.

Phatcharaphan Raiva is a graduate of Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Fine Arts and Applied Arts.
Phatcha’s career as an artist has grown exponentially since her graduation in 2008. Her father, an artist, has had a great influence on her work. After a very successful solo exhibition in 2014, she participated in the 2nd International Watercolor Competition in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Since then, she has participated in many international watercolor exhibitions and biennials, including the 1st International Watercolor Biennial 2016 in Hong Kong and the 2nd International Watercolor Biennial 2017 in Tirana, Albania.

Rukkit Satapornvajana, born in 1978, is a graphic designer and street artist. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Chulalongkorn University, and started painting on the streets in 2011 by applying stencils in a colourful and geometric style.

Jieun Lee - A highly successful artist who has sold out solo exhibitions in Korea for four consecutive years. She enjoys traveling to Thailand, and her works are often set against Thai backgrounds.
